When you’re ready to join Toastmasters, you must join a Toastmasters Club by completing Toastmasters Membership Application Form available from the Vice President of Membership, and pay the joining fee of $205 (the on-going fee is $175) which helps pay for the overall running the club, including hall or room hire, refreshment supplies, and other club expenses. When the club approves your application the Club Officer sends it, together with your fees, directly to Toastmasters International in the United States.

After I join a club, then what?
Once you join a club you will receive your New Member Kit which includes 3 valuable speaking tips booklets, and your Communication and Leadership Manual (CLM) with the first ten assignments. This tried and true "Communication & Leadership" speech manual is where all new Toastmasters begin. The CLM offers a comprehensive and structured approach to learn by. Each speech in the manual has specific guidelines and ideas for you to try and practice, helping you to achieve your goals. Once you have completed this manual (your first ten speeches), you become recognized as a Competent Toastmaster (CTM). This is a highly recognized and valued designation. Add it to your résumé!
Toastmasters is a great forum which allows you to have the opportunity to share your thoughts, face your challenges, and learn and grow into a dynamic and confident speaker.
Our commitment to learning
No matter what your skill level -- beginner, intermediate or expert -- Toastmasters are always learning. You will be supported and encouraged all the way by your fellow Toastmasters, and receive positive and productive feedback as you are evaluated on each of your speeches. Club members develop skills at their own pace, often under the guidance of a personal mentor.
Your first meeting
When you arrive at your first meeting, the club members will greet you and make you feel at home. You can participate in most aspects of the meeting that first night or you can sit back and watch Toastmasters in action. It's up to you!
